Two kickoffs were about to take place at the new Meadowlands – one kickoff signaling the start of a soccer match, the other kicking off a new era in tailgating. Purchase resident Mark Lobel had butterflies last Tuesday, Aug. 10 before the USA-Brazil soccer game, a game where his family was set to unveil tailgating grilling stations outside of the East Rutherford, N.J. football stadium. Any new business venture comes with nerves, but Tuesday had concerns of another brutally humid forecast.
